Privacy Policy

Who we are

MASS LLC (d/b/a The MASS Lab, "we", "us") operates themasslab.com. This policy describes what this website collects and what happens to it. It does not cover our other sites (Token Holder, KnowMessenger and MASS Lab Connect), which have their own policies.

What you give us

The only place this site asks you for information is the project request form on the home page. It asks for:

• • First and last name
• • Email address
• • Company (optional)
• • Project type
• • Estimated budget (optional)
• • Project details (your message)

We do not ask for payment details, phone numbers or financing applications on this site. If you email us at hello@themasslab.com, we receive whatever you send.

What is sent along with the form automatically

When you submit the form, your browser also sends, and we store:

• • The address of the page you were on and the page that referred you
• • Your browser's user-agent string
• • Your IP address, as seen by our server
• • A random session identifier generated in the page when it loads (it is not saved as a cookie or in local storage), and the time of submission

The form also has a hidden field that real visitors never fill in; submissions that fill it are discarded without being stored.

Where it goes

Form submissions are sent to our own API on Amazon Web Services and saved in a database table in our AWS account. Each submission also triggers a notification email, sent through Amazon SES to a team mailbox, containing the name, email, company, project type, budget, message, page address and IP address. When an internal Slack integration is enabled, a similar notification may be posted to a private Slack channel. We have not set a deletion schedule for stored submissions; you can ask us to delete yours (see below).

Cookies, analytics and third parties

This site's own code sets no cookies, uses no browser local storage, and loads no analytics, advertising or tracking scripts. Fonts are served from our own site. Our hosting provider (AWS) processes ordinary request data such as IP addresses in order to deliver pages. The site links to other sites we run and to the sites of others; once you leave, their policies apply.

Financing

This site does not collect financing applications. If financing is offered for a project through a third-party lender, the lender collects and uses your information under its own policy. See our financing page.

How we use it

We use form information to read and answer your request, to follow up with you, and to keep a record of the conversation. We do not sell or rent your personal information.

Your choices

You can ask us to tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, by emailing the address below. We will handle requests as required by the law that applies to you.

Children

This site is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update this page and the date below.
